The Quenching/Deformation Dilatometer L78 RITA is suitable for the determination of phase transformation temperatures and producing the TTT, CHT and CCT diagrams. According to the manufacturer, The special induction furnace enables heating and cooling speeds in excess of 2500°C/s. The system complies with ASTM A1033.
The specificaiton of equipment can be seen through the link.
The applied materials can be Metals/Alloys, Steels, etc.
Specific applications are provided below.
1) Austenitisation: During heating, steel phase transformation of the crystallographic transformation from ferrite, pearlite, bainite, martensite or combinations of these constituents to austenite take place.
2) Hysteresis: During cooling, the crystallographic transformations from austenite to ferrite, pearlite, bainite, or martensite or a combination thereof occur.
3) Strain: Typical strain Diagram for transformation measurement under temperature over time.
4) Time-Temperature-Transformation (TTT) and continuous cooliing transformation (CCT) diagrams.
