This fume cupboard is available for sample preparation and chemical handling, such as sample etching.

Non-MSE members must book this facility before using the fume cupboard or accessing chemicals from the Hultgren Laboratory stock.

If the chemical you require is not currently available, please contact the tool responsible. We may be able to purchase it so that it is available for all laboratory users.

KTH members who intend to work with chemicals in the Hultgren Laboratory must first complete the CBH School's Laboratory Safety course.

Before starting any work, all users must complete a risk assessment covering the planned procedure, associated hazards, and the handling and disposal of all waste generated during the work. 

When making the booking, please provide the following details in the supplementary information: which chemicals you are working with, and the material you are handling (e.g., fine powder, type of powder).
